Meeting Location: Swans Nest Pub for lunch at 12.30-12.45pm or join Mike at the nearby RSPB car park at 1.30pm.

End Time: 4-4.30pm arriving back in Brixham around 5.30pm
Dress up warm for this special field meeting visiting Devon’s best wetland reserve. There will be plenty of wildfowl back from breeding in the far north of Europe and even Russia, including wading birds like Snipe, Curlew and Lapwing. The low tide provides a good chance of seeing European Avocets and Black-tailed Godwits back from breeding in Iceland. Later in the day there is the chance of seeing unusual birds of prey that may be getting ready to roost on the upper marshes; such as our smallest falcon the Merlin and owls. NB: Participants encouraged to share transport.
