Brixham & the Great War Project End Part

November 25, 2015 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Just over two years ago Phil Trayhorn and others applied for a grant from the Lottery on behalf of the Friends of Brixham Library and Brixham Museum to commemorate Brixham in the Great War. As this project comes to an end we are holding and end of project celebration in the Mulberry Room of the Berry Head Hotel on Wednesday 25 November starting at 7.00pm until 11.00pm. The occasion is open to all those who participated or helped with the project and so we would like invite all you in the theatre who helped and supported the production of ‘The Provident’ play in March last year. There will be a free hot supper and entertainment through the evening including music from Brixham Town Band, shanty singing from some of the cast, recitations from Kipling and other entertainment. A bar will also be available. An exhibition of maritime work by local artist Peter Archer will be on display along with other pieces and models relating to WW1.

If you would like to come and join us that evening you are very welcome and our way of saying thank you for your help in the theatre. If you would be kind enough to advise Phil that you are able to join us that will help us assess our catering requirements for the evening. His e-mail address is hiightree@btinternet.com  Finally, if you know of anyone at the theatre who was involved and we have missed do let them know as all are welcome.
