John’s talk brings to life Victorian Cockington by using the personal diaries written at Cockington Court during the 1870s. Learning about the real and unexpected lives of those involved will shed a new light on life during this period and the relationships within the all-important class system of the time. This illustrated talk uses specific diary entries to illustrate a way of life now long gone.
