A walk from Powderham Church to the Turf Locks Pub. Approx 2.4 miles flat walking there and back. Early September is prime time for migrating Ospreys, some of which linger on the Exe Estuary to fatten up on Mullet before migrating south to Africa. There will be plenty of other birds to see as well, with hundreds if not thousands of migrating waders.
