The Berry Packed Rowan and Hawthorns on the edges of Dartmoor are a target for hundreds of migrating thrushes during early autumn. The timing needs to be right to make sure the thrushes have arrived from Scandinavia and the berries have not all been stripped! The very end of October and early November should be perfect, our target birds will be Fieldfare, Redwing and perhaps Ring Ouzel. There’ll be other birds to see too as we walk up to the Avon Dam
